What Students Are Saying

The cafeteria food is really good. I do not have a meal plan, but I do often pay to eat there. I enjoy having a good home cooked meal. There are also more options in the student union, including ways to eat healthy with a Subway or a smoothie bar.
Heather from Baton Rouge, LA
Campus dining at Southeastern is remarkable. There is a huge variety of options when it comes to eating on campus. For example, we have the Cayman Cafe', serving a variety of home cooked meals from spaghetti, to tacos, the cafe has it all. It also includes a salad bar, multiple drink stations, a dessert bar, and a stir-fry grill. Also on campus we have Chick Fil A, Taco Bell, Popeye's, Burger King, Subway, and many more options. For all of the late night study sessions and early morning classes, we have two different Starbuck's locations and the campus coffe shop located in the library, Java City.
Jessica from Ponchatoula, LA
SO many choices. The prices are very reasonable.
Victoria from Hammond, LA
The food is great at Southeastern. The cafeteria is all you can eat and always a nice meal, whether it be hot or cold.
Jacob from Denham Springs, LA
Food is great! there are many fast food restaurants in the student union. There is a buffet restaurant in the union that was just named the top college food in the state of Louisiana. Hammond downtown has a bunch of really good restaurants and bars with fresh seafood, Cajun, Mexican, pizza, sushi. And a lot of the places have live music in the evenings.
Ashlee from Hammond, LA
plenty of food options. everyone should be able to find something they like in the student union between the cafeteria and the on-campus fast food restaurants. the cafeteria food is pretty good too.
cheyenne from slidell, la
Food is great. We have so many options of places to eat during the times of day. They are also building more diners. So more options equals better. The employees are friendly. We have an all you can eat plan which includes healthy food like a salad and sandwich bar.
