I think the academic program there is rated highly
Will enjoy being here
It is a beautiful, Christian campus. Small and unique. I felt very comfortable and active when I visited
Bang for the buck
This is my first time going to a college but I think so.

Do visit and see for yourself how much is going on and how beautiful the campus is

Will learn a lot
All the professors seemed very knowledgeable and are dedicated to their work. They have a passions for helping students grow.
Will enjoy being here
Southeastern has a Beautiful campus, a cafeteria that looks like a restaurant, and dorms that are new and gorgeous! All rooms have room cleaning service for free. Laundry is also free.
Everyone I met was friendly and eager to help. The students were cheerful and nice. It was one of the most welcoming schools I have visited. It had a pleasant Christian Atmosphere and felt safe and home-like. The campus is a beautiful area surrounded by lakes and huge oak trees and fountains. Southeastern is planning to build a new Preforming arts center and Library to math the Mediterranean style of their new buildings.
Bang for the buck
It's a little pricey but it seems worth it.
Tips for prospective students
Definitely visit the college if you can!

Am learning a lot
I truly enjoy going to class everyday; the professors use many tools for teaching and are very helpful if you do not understand something. They definitely don't just throw up a PowerPoint presentation and read from it word for word.
Am enjoying being here
There are hundreds, literally hundreds of opportunities to get involved here. They have programs and clubs for pretty much anyone and it is so easy to connect.
Bang for the buck
The school is really expensive, but I think the quality of the education is worth the cost. Your not going to get the interaction and one on one time with other schools like you can here.
Tips for prospective students
You should absolutely go to preview days if you have the opportunity. It is a great chance to stay on campus and experience what life is like at Southeastern. Its a beautiful environment and the people are warm and friendly.
Great for these types of students
This is a great school for students who really want to learn and learn in a Christ-centered environment. The teachers will go out of their way to help you understand the material and they bring Christian-views into the curriculum in a unique way that is not overbearing nor discrediting to our maker.

Am learning a lot
Each class a student takes at Southeastern is designed to cater to all the learning styles so no student is left in the dark.
Am enjoying being here
The environment and student activities make this university a great place to live and learn.
Bang for the buck
The price of tuition is well worth the education one receives.
Tips for prospective students
Make sure you double check where all your paperwork is being sent. There are a lot of different departments and paperwork can get lost in the shuffle so make copies of everything including letters of recommendation.
Great for these types of students
Students who want to go to a school that offers Christian values will feel right at home.

southeastern is an amazing experience no matter where you are in your life. it seems as though every professor and administrator are on your side and are truly trying their hardest to give you the most.
Tips for prospective students
i want to encourage you to come to lakeland fl for a preview day! they will be a great experience!
Academic Rigor
there are some classes that challenge each person to step up, while some of the more introductory classes are simpler.
Dorm Life
in my dorm, everyone is really close to each other and there is a sense of community among us. it is something special that i don't feel i could get anywhere else.
Food and Dining
it tastes just like momma cooked it!
What to do for fun
orlando and tampa are less than an hour drive away and lakeland has many hot spots as well. many of the local places offer discounts and such for southeastern students because of our great reputation around town.
Bang for the buck
it is expensive, but there isn't another place like it. one of the best qualities of southeastern is the chapel services, which are uncontested among rival christian schools.
Great for these types of students
southeastern is a great place for the above-average student that wants to excel in his/her academic studies as well as grow towards god. if you want to go to a college with the best professors around, come to seu!

Southeastern University is AWESOME! I love the beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the campus. The students and staff are extremely nice and helpful.
Tips for prospective students
Tip#1: Take a campus tour during the week if possible! Although the weekend tour has smaller groups and more time for one-on-one questions, most of the departments are closed because most of the staff goes home on the weekend. So your tour guide can answer general questions, but those things you are curious about that are specific to your intended major might not be able to be answered.

Tip #2: Do whatever it takes to go to the Fast Track orientation! You get all of your required up-front paperwork done so that when you move in all you have to do is pick up your room key, mail box key, parking permit, etc. and you can enjoy your first day moving in, getting settled in your room, and meeting your neighbors and roommates. Otherwise, you'll be sitting in on meetings and signing paperwork all day and be exhausted and still not unpacked when the first evening's festivities begin.
Academic Rigor
I have found that most of the courses are challenging! I think of myself as a pretty good student, but I have definitely had to study harder here than I ever did in High School. HOWEVER, even though the coursework itself is rigorous, the professors are very willing to help the students.
Dorm Life
The dorm buildings are beautiful and well kept. Laundry is included in your dorm fees. As a freshman, I was extremely fortunate to NOT get assigned to the freshman dorms! Their rooms are quite tight so DO NOT bring everything you own when you move to campus. The rooms are clean and furnished, but there's no space to waste. The good thing is the foyer area where everyone can hang out together. That provides a larger space for studying or relaxing and makes it possible to take a break from the tight living quarters.
Food and Dining
The school cafeteria is called Tuscana. It looks like a restaurant. The food is not spectacular, but not terrible either. They do need more variety in my opinion, as the menu just repeats itself weekly. There is a Chick-fil-A on campus as an alternative to Tuscana, but the school meal plan does NOT include the Chick-fil-A. So have your friends and family send you some extra spending money from time to time so you can eat there too!
What to do for fun
There is a pool on campus and a gym available to all students. There are lots of kids who hang out under the shade oaks or in the school coffee shop that is open 24 hours. There are Friday night bashes during football season. Many different sports games are going on all year.
Bang for the buck
All freshmen are required to meet together once a week during their first semester for what is called First Year Experience. The meetings last 45-50 minutes and their purpose is to make sure that everyone has a chance to meet other freshmen and become acclimated to the culture of the university. Also, there is opportunity to join a small group and participate in any one of numerous chapel services each week. These all provide opportunities to meet others and develop new friendships.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Every year the first week of the fall semester is dedicated to celebrating the return to campus and enrollment of new students. Every day of that first week there is some type of fun student activity. One of the favorite activities is the Battle of the Dorms between all freshmen. Another favorite is The Underground which is a late night gathering established to provide a fun introduction to all clubs and events available on campus.
Great for these types of students
The SEU campus is great for students who are self-motivated, self-controlled, and used to structure and guidelines. There are rules of conduct that must be followed in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the campus. This is not a party campus, but we do have good, clean fun!
Clubs and Activities
If you are interested in something, there is probably a club here for your interest! There are lots of things to do and clubs to join. The plus is that IF you have an activity that you enjoy and there is no club for it, then you have the ability to request a club be established.
Campus Safety
There are security officers on campus, but the only time you'll likely need assistance is if you feel insecure about walking in the parking lot late at night...There aren't really any issues with security on campus.

Academic Rigor
I sat in on a US History class while I visited for Preview Days. The professor opened up class with a prayer. I really loved that. His lecture was excellent! I learned things about Thomas Jefferson that I would never have learned in another class. It was very interesting; he kept the class fun.
Dorm Life
The dorms were nice and clean. There are people who come in and mop the floors in your dorm every other week. (Or so I've heard)
Food and Dining
The food here was really great! The salad bar was very substantial.
What to do for fun
Disneyworld and the beach are not very far from this college. It could be really fun to visit both!
Great for these types of students
If you love Jesus, and want a good education this is the place for you! The campus is beautiful and it's in sunny Florida. What's not to love?

Southeastern has an incredible staff of teachers, coaches, and advisors. The courses taught really help prepare the students for what they want to do after graduation. There is a lot of school spirit and activities.
Tips for prospective students
Come expecting to be blown away by how friendly everyone is. There is feeling of home on campus and everyone is genuinely caring.
Academic Rigor
Some classes are very rigorous, but it is very worth it in the end. You learn so much in such a short period of time. The difficulty level makes you feel more accomplished and you gain a lot of confidence and knowledge you would not have otherwise.
Dorm Life
The dorm halls are very involved with each other. The room size is great, it's not a scary, small, dark room. Plus there is different options for location and size of dorms.
Food and Dining
There is a café, Mi Casa, and a coffee house, Portico. Both have great food and drinks. The main place to dine is our cafeteria, catered by Chartwells. They offer a wide variety of foods buffet style.
What to do for fun
There is always something to do. Year around there are intermural sports you can join, and always little events or get togethers happeneing around campus. There is a pool, multiple fields, two gyms, and a beach volleyball court.
Bang for the buck
The school is definitely a bit pricey, but so worth it. And the financial aid office really works with students to get them there without leaving in heaps of debt.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Ring by Spring. The running joke is to get as many people hooked up as possible, so student, teachers, and everyone on campus is constantly setting people up on dates or introducing people. It's hilarious.
Great for these types of students
Students who love the Lord. This is a Christian school, and God is active in every aspect of life here.
Clubs and Activities
There are intermurals, mission trips, and numerous clubs to get involved with. There is always something to do.
Greek Life
I don't know anything about greek life on campus.
Campus Safety
There are security guards always on duty and roaming the campus. It's a really safe place, and everyone looks out for each other.

Southeastern University is an enriching atmosphere, they focus on the person as a whole, not just one aspect. The professors who work there, are there only because they love young people and want to see them succeed. There is something there for everyone!
Tips for prospective students
Go with an open mind and do not let the price tag discourage you. You only go to college once, One wants to learn and have a great experience, Southeastern definitely delivers on that.
Academic Rigor
Every class you are humbled, realizing you do not know everything.
Dorm Life
Best experience ever, rules are set up, but the R.A's allow you to have plenty of fun without imposing their power.
Food and Dining
Cafeteria food is cafeteria food, you will always grow tiresome. However, compared to most schools the food is top notch, and you have no worry of gaining the infamous freshman fifth-teen.
What to do for fun
Southeastern always puts on events, from black and white dances to sand volleyball tournaments. If you do decide you need to be off campus, you have to get creative. However, bigger cities like Tampa and Orlando are under an hour away.
