The campus is open but gated. Security is always on patrol and every building needs keycard access. No one is getting in without a visitors pass.
Clubs and Activities
Moot Court Trial Advocacy Negotiations Those are the three tracks for honor students. There are others but, those are the honor programs so, aim high.

The main building is actually an old department store. A LONG time ago department stores spanned floors. This building is one of those with a clock tower. Some of the floors still have the original décor. It might seem dated but it is historical.
What to do for fun
Hop the train to Downtown Los Angeles and visit the Staples Center, LA Live or go the other direction and find Hollywood. The campus sits across the street from both the Purple and Red subway lines. One takes you all the way out to Universal and Hollywood. There's no excuse to NOT have fun...unless of course you're studying.
Food and Dining
The dining hall can stand to be open later than what it is (closes about 6p on Fridays and not open on weekends). But the food there caters to pretty much anyone with care given to offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. It is LA after all.
The dorms are brand new. Besides being brand new, you would live near downtown LA, and barely one block away from the Metro subway.
When you acceptable GPA is already over a 3.5 you have to admit you are among the most competitive.
Tips for prospective students
Go to the campus and begin your application process very early. Start with a tour, sit in on some classes whenever you can and ask every question you can think of. Do your homework on the school leading up to submitting your application in case you get waitlisted and have to do a few extra steps.

Southwestern Law School is what I would call a convenient private school. The location is excellent and its offerings are wonderful. Students here are a part of a legacy that has produced many California judges.
