Most Helpful Review for Southwestern University

This school is extremely informative- classes are small, reading is crucial, student-professor relationships are personal. In such a class setting, it is difficult to let the information slide past you. Also, attendance policy is strict- you can be forcibly dropped from the course if you miss a certain amount of classes. You're there to learn, you do so, & mostly, you'll enjoy it.

It's very small, so it does not have the diversity you would find at mid-sized or large school. Southwestern social life revolves around Greek Life for most people. SU has a very involved student body.

Southwestern is a liberal arts school that reaches out to students and offers a lot of academic help. There are plenty of programs and services which are aimed to benefit students and help them become well-rounded individuals. Aside from the rising cost, it is a great school to attend.

Southwestern is a gorgeous campus with friendly staff and students; even people you've never seen before will smile and wave. There's lots of neat old buildings to explore with really interesting historic artifacts in their museum areas of the school. The Pirate Bikes make it MUCH easier to get to class if you're running late!

Southwestern University was the first university in Texas so it is full of history. The campus is beautiful with state of the art buildings as well as some buildings from the late 1800s. There are also a ton of trees and lots of shady spots to study in or just hang out with friends. The classes are amazing and you can really tell that the professors love what they do.

This schools holds a sort of respectful, peacefull atmosphere that is simply unavoidable. Although this school has high standards in terms of academics, it still is the only place I've ever been too where I felt my education was worth more than grade in the class. Through Southwesterns honor code and Pideia program it promotes quality character along with a quality education.
