    Work closely with an advisor of your choice. It's easier to work with an advisor who will recognize you and your needs. I can't express enough how important it is to volunteer when available and get recommendations from your teachers. It takes a bit of effort to keep your grades and volunteer but the recommendations and hours are well worth it.

    Be very patient while waiting for an adviser at the Seminole campus. I've waited in the upwards of 4 hours for an adviser for a question that takes 10 minutes, tops, but it was ultimately worth the wait. Bring something to do, or you'll get very board very fast.
