Prospective students should definitely use ratemyprofessor.com to read about possible instructors. Most of the reviews found on that website are accurate and extremely helpful to match to your individual learning style. Also, when choosing a path to follow for a specific career, do not talk to advising. Go to the department of the field that you want to enter. For example, I wish I had gone to the Natural Science Department because I want to be a veterinarian. Finally, I recommend making appointments with the professors for extra help. What a professor will tell you in private can be the key to your future and building those relationships can set you up for letters of recommendations and references in the future. The key to the State College of Florida is finding your niche and getting involved in the underworld of the faculty.

Utilize the ARC (academic resource center) they have everything you need to help you succeed in every class. It's because of all the resources there I was able to get straight A's on my upper level classes!!!

This school is great for anyone who doesn't really know what they want to do, but don't want to spend $20k a year figuring it out. I was originally at FAU and transferred because I wasn't totally sure where I was going or what I wanted to do with my life. I am now graduating with my AA and can transfer anywhere in the state (I am choosing UCF for their business program). SCF is extremely affordable and has a lot of schedule flexibility, I took a majority of my classes online and the teachers I did have in person were great. LOOK ON RATE MY PROFESSOR BEFORE TAKING A CLASS! The reviews never lie! You will thank yourself later!
