There's always something happening on campus so don't be afraid to get out there and join some clubs. There's an exclusive online portal for students called OwlConnect where you can look and see what and where different events are happening during the week. Usually, during the first two weeks of the new semester, there's a club fair where every club/organization are recruiting new members so if you have to time, I would highly recommend joining a few. Since you're / you'll be an owl; there's always student discounts at local attractions (art museum, movie theater, grocery store, etc.) so look out for them.

Student Activities and Main Campus Program Board are just two of the organizations constantly hosting events for students. Theres a Free Food and Fun Friday every week at the Student Center. Temple has so many student organizations that you can participate in. Temple students always have a big presence at sporting events as well. Lastly, we are connected to Philly by Septa Bus, Subway, and Regional Rail, as well as Uber or Lyft, so many students go and explore the city!!

This campus is located in the city therefore the options of things to do is endless. Philadelphia was the starting point for this country. The history is everywhere. There are a plethora of bars and restaurants. The trains leaving Philadelphia can take you almost anywhere on the East coast as well for a weekend getaway.

Since campus is in Philadelphia there are endless things to do. Firstly, on campus there are over 300 clubs/organziations that a student can join and spend their free time in. There is always some kind of sports event going on, which students get tickets to for free. Also, at the Student Center they also have different activities going on in the day and night (that often include prizes and free food!!). Off campus there is a lot to do as well, one can visit Old City which is very vintage and contains lots of history, or one can hope on the subway to Center City to shop and explore Philadelphia.

There are so many things to do for fun... its Philadelphia! In fact, on campus, every other Friday, they have "free food Friday", which is held in the Student Center. ( I believe). There are so many events and organizational programs held every day! However, off campus there is so much to explore. If you are a foodie, there are so many restaurants and cafes! The art museum, Penn's Landing, Chinatown are also great places to check out!

Join clubs or go to club events or student run activities. A lot of events have free food. The student center also has discounted movies. Go to the sporting events cause they are free! There are also interesting talks/seminar that happen all of the time. There are parties off campus every weekend, it's just about finding the right ones to go to. Also don't be afraid to explore Philly outside of Broad Street.

  • I am accepted here and planning to attend soon

I believe college is a non-play zone. I believe college shouldn't be just a job either. You have to balance college life and your life such as ; going to mcdonalds, Wendy's , and Dave and busters.
