With a campus on Ward Island overlooking Corpus Christi Bay, Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi is a 4-year public university in south Texas and a campus of the Texas A&M system. Known as The Island University, A&M Corpus Christi offers undergrad degrees in over 80 academic programs and is a designated Hispanic-serving institution. In addition to classroom space, A&M Corpus Christi is home to research centers including the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies and one of the nation’s only unmanned aircraft system test sites known as The Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence & Innovation. Thanks to the campus’s location on the Gulf of Mexico, A&M Corpus Christi features 250 days of sunshine and year-round mild weather.
