Texas Southern University is a fine institution, despite all the negative trash people say about it. Taking courses in chemistry, biology, and math at this college really made me see the important role that the classes played not only in science, but even in life. While, in high school I took interest in these courses, but never took notice to the roles they play in everyone's life. Everything is made of matter right? Matter boils down to chemistry. Everyone shares a similar genetic makeup and that boils down to biology. Each measured quantity, distance, and time boils down to math,...

I've only been here for three weeks, but I can tell you that Texas Southern is very family oriented. They expect the best from every student, and you must know your history. Enjoy school the tiger way!!!

It is definitely not what I expected. It is not a wild HBCU like the media portrays. It is easy to keep a high GPA here. Just know you will never have enough money to go here without a whole bunch of loans. No one cares if you graduate or not. No one cares if your financial aid goes through or not.

Texas Southern University is an emerging university that provides an intimate and unique learning environment. The campus is home to several state-of-the-art facilities, accomplished faculty, and ambitious students. In my opinion, it's definitely one of the premiere HBCUs in the nation.

Texas Southern University is by far the most interesting school I've ever been to. The classes are easy to take and the teachers are very nice. The school also has an open door policy, which I find interesting.

I would personally give Texas Southern University on a scale of 1-10, an 8; you see so many successful graduate students, who inspire you to thrive for success. Even though it is in third ward, ever since I have been here, there has been anything violent going on. If i could change anything about the school it would be it's size, I wish the campus were bigger.

Texas Southern University has many degrees available to students. They really encourage students to graduate in four years. The administration side is known to not have the same urgency that students do. Therefore, it sets students back from graduating in the proposed time frame. Once this issue gets fixed, Texas Southern would be a better university.

Ghetto, Lazy, and Old. This school puts forward no effort in resolving their own problems they relay on students because they couldn't get it right the first time. Do not attend if you want a college that will help you out without having to go out of your way every-time you need help, literally. Transferring after this semester because I got locked in with a lease for a year.
