Texas State University is a very diverse and active school. There are tons of organizations and clubs to join and plenty of activities to get involved in. The PACE team that helps with freshmen is very kind and helping, the atmosphere is great and there are no feelings of isolation.

Texas State has provided me with the college experience I've always dreamt of. Not only is it a beautiful campus, but every time I step foot on it I immediately feel like there are so many opportunities for me and that I can achieve every single one of them. Coming from a girl who used to hate school, this university taught me to love and appreciate it in a way I never thought was possible.

Best thing about Texas State are the students and staff. My first semester went smoothly with the help from peers I meet and school resources that connected me to great and knowledgeable staff.

Texas State is full of hills and stairs. You will make lots of walking buddies. Most students walk or use shuttles to get around, so don't be upset when Mom or Dad don't allow you to bring a car 1st year.

i love how beautiful the campus is, and how wonderful the professors are! i'm an anthropology major, and all of the professors in my department are clearly passionate about what they do. i love how the campus is in a town that isn't overly large, so getting around isn't terribly difficult as well.
