Texas Tech University is a 4-year public research university and the flagship campus of the TTU System. Texas Tech encompasses 12 colleges and schools and is the only Texas college to feature an undergraduate university, law school, and medical school. Every holiday season, Texas Tech holds the Carol of Lights ceremony where all campus buildings surrounding the university memorial circle are illuminated in red, white, and orange lights and TTU choirs perform traditional songs. For sports fans, Texas Tech fields 15 men’s and women’s athletic teams known as the Red Raiders.
