The ball park, cowboy stadium,6 flags, hurricane harbor. These are all in Arlington and for new comers to the state or international it would be easy to go since its close by.

There are daily activities being done all around campus. The MAC is a wonderful place to get your work-out, as well as a great place to go rock climbing, play racquetball, ping-pong, billiards, basketball and/or soccer with your friends!

Due to UTA being a mostly commuter school, there isn't a lot of activities going on around the weekend except for intramural sports. However, being in Arlington, the AT&T Cowboys football stadium is literally right down the road, followed by the Rangers Baseball Park and Six Flags Over Texas. There's also a bowling alley near by with putt putt golf and a go cart race track that doesn't put quite as big of a dent in ones wallet. The campus has some lovely scenery to photograph or sketch, as I often love to do.

Find friends to go on the events they hold! Although some of their events are kinda boring, being with friends turns it up! Go to the gym, explore around the area if you can!

You have to drive to another city for fun, unless you love going to Six Flags a lot.

Go to welcome week events and take a look at some clubs. If you're living on campus and don't have a car, there really isn't much to do unless you're in an organization. Try rushing to a fraternity/sorority, all different types of people rush to see if its for them and even the quietest and most introverted people may find a liking to Greek life if they find the right one. Usually there's at least one event a week whether it be a fine arts performance, a school sponsored event, or even a school hosted movie night. Again, my biggest recommendation is joining at least one organization because without friends or people, there really isn't much to do in UTA or in college in general. The Maverick Activity Center is where most students will pass their free time, however. Also, if you just happen to play League of Legends, there's an e-sports club on campus and you can find more information on the UTA organization site.

There are sports clubs, teams, and intramural sports to be played. There is Greek life to be a part of, and the tennis club especially is great, too.
