There are a lot of activities that you can do here at UT Tyler for fun. You can go to the GYM and do some exercise. There is a swimming pool as well so if anyone loves to swim then Herrington Patriot Center is the place to chill. There is UT Tyler Patriot Palooza where major fun activities happens. So, if you are an extrovert then there is a lot of activities around the campus where you can shine.

tyler itself is a smaller town, so there isn't as much to do as there would be in cities like dallas, austin, or san antonio. ground zero is a local comic book shop that has fun game nights you can go to, if that's your thing.

There's not many clubs that I find interesting or worth joining. I recommend supporting our sports teams because those games are fun. Intramurals are also fun and competitive. There's plenty of restaurants and movie theaters around Tyler if you want to go off campus. There's also bowling and putt putt near campus.

There are a lot of clubs and activities that you can join, but if you aren't into that kind of commitment, then you could always go to the spontaneous events that are planned every now and then. For example, I got a flyer under my door saying that we are having a midnight breakfast tomorrow!

Tyler, TX, has multiple movie theaters, with on of them being a studio grill. The amount of restaurants here is almost a sin. The city offers many recreational things you can do, like bowling, sports, and even state parks.

For a college town, there was a surprising lack of activities fit for college students especially night life.

There are many options when it comes to down time as UTT. The lake is always beautiful and kayaks and canoes are available to explore it. The game room is a blast too. There are even trails for the athletic students out there.

A bowling alley is found less than 5 minutes away from campus and is the perfect way to relieve stress and have fun for a while to get your mind occupies with other things than school work. The local mall is also found less than 10 minutes away from campus and is another great place to go with friends to de-stress.
