Do your research. Come to the school and visit, take a tour of our campus. Go to portfolio reviews, auditions, interviews etc. Ask questions from alumni, current students and faculty. UArts isn't for everyone so you should make sure before you decide to attend. I majored in Photography so my experience will be different from someone who wants to come here for Acting, Dance or Writing for Film & Television. I can say that the photo department is this tight knit group of part time and full time teachers who are all successful, well known working artists in the field that cover a wide spectrum of all sorts of careers. You spend your years here working in traditional processes, learning 35mm, medium format and large format cameras. You learn lighting techniques, printing digitally, editing, and hanging for galleries and shows. You meet artists through lectures and get internships.
