Really make sure you are ok with going to a school in a small town with very limited to do here. I am fine with it because I focus mostly on academics and the sport I participate in. If you are looking for ways to get involved, Truman has a lot to offer. There are almost always some sort of event happening on campus. Although living in the dorms may be annoying at some times, this can be a great way to meet people during Truman Week. Also, meet people in your classes. This is helpful when you need to miss class or you were sick and couldn't go.

always set time for the three s's: studying, sleeping, and socializing. if you are interested in organizations, attend the club fair that is put on one time each semester! there are over 200 organizations on campus that incorporate everyone's possible interests and if there isn't one that sparks your interest, create your own. you'll find many people who might have the same interests you do. it is an easy way to make friends and try to incorporate members of your hall. just don't forget to always be yourself.

Warning there's not much transportation going north of Kirksville. My family and I were incredibly frustrated on how I would get home. The campus and academics are GREAT, but location and town not so much. You definitely have to be willing to travel for something fun or new to do. If you are looking for an up kept small town, this is not it. This college comes with many positives, but also a few negatives-like any college. Overall I loved the school, but hated the location.

Take the tour, you won't regret it. This was a very informative tour, and no other school came close to presenting their school as well. If you are considering Nursing, this program offers all you could ask for.

Truman is an academically challenging school. If you're willing to work hard, and I mean extremely hard, and I mean HARD, to overcome all the obstacles, you might enjoy it.
