    Bang for the buck

As an international student, Ulster University is a great place to go. You learn from very qualified individuals, you get to experience a much different form of academia, the people are friendly, the places are interesting and I have really enjoyed my time here thus far.

    What to do for fun

Belfast is a bustling fun city! Just get out and see the sights. There are cathedrals to visit (especially if you're from America and don't see things like cathedrals) there are shops, and museums. The pubs are fun and I've met mostly just friendly people.

    Food and Dining

Albeit expensive, but it is pretty good. The best places to go are definitely off campus.

    Dorm Life

I live on the Jordanstown campus, which is a little bit far from the Belfast campus. My biggest complaint I suppose would be the cost of travel and the limited bus times. There is no shuttle from the Jordanstown campus dorms to the Belfast campus, in which the students must pay for a bus to go there and back. When you require students to live on a different campus but attend another, there should be some sort of shuttle system paid for my the school. That is how it works at my campus at home. The apartments are nice though, and it is filled with friendly people.

    Academic Rigor

My experience so far is a little more laid back than to what I am used to, but I very much enjoy the pace and the quality of the academics.

    Tips for prospective students

My prospective is from a very outside view, as I am from another country, but academics are quite different here. There is much more self study and individually driven work. Be prepared for that.

    In three sentences

As an international student, the staff at Ulster University Belfast has been nothing but welcoming. The courses are challenging with very qualified and friendly professors and engaging material. So far my experience with Ulster coming from the United States has been a very pleasant and fulfilling one.
