The learning experience is amazing. The professors know what they are teaching and enjoy teaching it. Some of them are born and raised in Alaska so they can help you out. The other students are a big help as well.

The campuses and classes are accessible; It's easy to take courses at other UA campuses and transfer the credit. The school is open-enrollment so quality varies widely; some departments are great while others are pointless. Generally, it's very difficult to get help from Administration, and the site is terrible.

I would rate the University of Alaska Anchorage overall as a 7 out of 10. The campus provides a friendly environment where everybody is supportive of their fellow students. Certain programs are better than others but no matter what program you are in, you will find helpful resources wherever you turn.

UAA faculty are dedicated to helping students succeed in the many programs this school has. The campus is exciting, warm (important in winter months!), and set in one of the most beautiful cities in the country. UAA has rigorous programs, great standing in the community, and great job placement for graduates.

UAA is a relatively nice university given its low tuition. It is the largest university in Alaska based on its student population and is located in the largest city in Alaska. Personally, I wouldn't go here if I was paying out-of-state tuition.

UAA is an inexpensive college for in-state students. There isn't much by way of social opportunities. It has been hard to make friends.
