    For prospective students....Don't come here unless you want a care-free, unchallenged academic 4 years. If you come here, record EVERYTHING from EVERY class and EVERY meeting you ever go to if you actually care about your education. Make sure you hound your adviser to help you graduate.

    The financial aid office can be helpful, if you get there early and make the consultants sit down and have a real conversation with you. The office of career services is the best office in my opinion- they start you off in the right direction even as a freshman.

    Yes, it is a HBCU so the non-graduating rate will be high because African American do not typically put the effort into it. UAPB will be great if you put the effort into it. I would own a refrigerator because the food sometimes isn't not all that great.
