If your looking for a great learning experience, there is something important that you have to know, it all depends on YOU. So if you are, the advice I would give you and stuff you've probably already heard is to get to know your professor, research beyond on stuff that you're unfamiliar with. These two suggestions make such a great difference in any school you might choose to go, and here at UC Davis, the professors are amazing. (TIP: go to ratemyprofessors.com to look at the prof's review, this really saves you from a dull class!)

mellow atmosphere that allows you to separate and mitigate a work, school, and social schedule easily. everything is local and withing walking distance - not even kidding. one of the better ucs for the price when it comes to national ranking.

the quality of the professors and classes is amazing, but often the classes are so large that it is hard to get to know the professors and your classmates. unfortunately, the classes are also very impacted so not being able to get into the classes that you need does happen. however, the counselors are great at helping you figure out your schedule, and i overall loved my experience at u.c. davis.

UC Davis's campus is absolutely beautiful! It is out in a rural part of the state, but the small town of Davis is so cute. I love the facilities provided for the students; the recreation center looks awesome.

UC Davis gives off a friendly and supportive vibe that is definitely fruitful to one's academic growth and one's transition from high school to college life. UC Davis is a bike friendly community where almost everyone you meet rides a bike and is willing to lend a hand when you fall or need a small push toward to right direction. UC Davis is not absolutely rigorous in academics as long as students do not procrastinate and think ahead of the game as the quarter system is difficult to adjust to at first.

UC Davis is a very beautiful campus, and there are tons of places to relax when getting stressed out over finals, assignments, and maybe roommates to go and take a breather. This is one of the larger UC's, the largest I believe, and although walking takes you places it can be very inconvenient so I would say for the most part that biking is necessary. The students and professors here are very friendly, as an out-of-state student it felt like home thanks to my comforting floor mates.

    1) UCD is big and pretty, but not as much as exaggerated by many. 2) People are really friendly and are always ready to help you. 3) A safe campus.

UC Davis smells like cows sometimes, but the people are friendly, the campus is beautiful, and the professors really care about the success of their students. UC Davis takes pride in managing wildlife on and around campus, which many people may or may not know. UC Davis funds the many resources available to students and it is imperative that all students take advantage of this availability.
