If your looking for a great learning experience, there is something important that you have to know, it all depends on YOU. So if you are, the advice I would give you and stuff you've probably already heard is to get to know your professor, research beyond on stuff that you're unfamiliar with. These two suggestions make such a great difference in any school you might choose to go, and here at UC Davis, the professors are amazing. (TIP: go to ratemyprofessors.com to look at the prof's review, this really saves you from a dull class!)

While the school’s remotely located may disincline students from attending this university, it is this remote location that offers students a tranquil environment to foster academic success. UC Davis also provides an extensive choices in course selection that can accommodate a diversity of student interest. Furthermore, the spacious campus—ranked first amongst other universities— allows the diverse and intricate agricultural courses that the university is capable of sustaining while competitors cannot.

My dream school can be described as a place of endless possibilities for self discovery. However with so many roads to take it's easy to get lost and loose track of what is important to you. Follow your gut and have no doubt once you've come across what you really enjoy no matter what life throws your way.

Davis is a simple town. It's quiet, diverse, and pretty safe. But don't let that fool you; there are a bunch of parties going around, plenty of late night places to eat, and a bunch of nooks and crannies to explore.

Tons of resources for students, but even more cows...like, tons of cows, in your back yard. Faculty is awesome and really one on one, especially for transfer students. Not a ton to do in the town of Davis, but lots of fun stuff happens on campus in regards to sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities.
