If your looking for a great learning experience, there is something important that you have to know, it all depends on YOU. So if you are, the advice I would give you and stuff you've probably already heard is to get to know your professor, research beyond on stuff that you're unfamiliar with. These two suggestions make such a great difference in any school you might choose to go, and here at UC Davis, the professors are amazing. (TIP: go to to look at the prof's review, this really saves you from a dull class!)

Davis is a simple town. It's quiet, diverse, and pretty safe. But don't let that fool you; there are a bunch of parties going around, plenty of late night places to eat, and a bunch of nooks and crannies to explore.

Tons of resources for students, but even more, tons of cows, in your back yard. Faculty is awesome and really one on one, especially for transfer students. Not a ton to do in the town of Davis, but lots of fun stuff happens on campus in regards to sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities.

Visited UCD last month and they were very friendly and enthusiastic about their life at this university. However, Davis does not fit my preference of colleges, but I'll still aim to be admitted here. Nevertheless, keep doing what you do UCD!

Welcoming and friendly campus home to a diverse group of students. With a high academic rigor UC Davis is no walk in the park, but there are numerous resources available for all students in advising and personal health. Also a very environmentally conscious campus that strives to be zero waste.

UC Davis provides a large number of opportunities for first generation students, fly out program (for accepted students), and a summer bridge program; I utilized these opportunities to gain insight and help from UC Davis staff. At UC Davis, there are huge amounts of resources for extracurricular, such as volunteer involvement, internships, work study, and clubs. Finally, UC Davis is an environmentally friendly school filled with thousands of bikes as a form of transportation and a substitute for cars.
