    Peer advisers, and general academic advisers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. There is free tutoring in the main area of each living community. There are research opportunities left and right for science majors.

    All amenities you've basically paid for already, so working out at the ARC is a must, with top of the line equipment all you need is your student id and you'll enjoy everything there is here. Joining a gym is a no go especially if you get to use a facility like UCD.

    As Davis is largely a student town, pretty much everything (from restaurants to activities), is pretty affordable. There are definitely nicer places to go and things to do as well, but overall the town and lifestyle are pretty affordable. Housing is decently priced as far as student housing goes, and there are many options.
