There is always something to do on campus, whether it be a conference over the weekend, a run for the cure event, yoga, movie night, or a fair. This may not appeal to everyone, but the option is always there. For a short scenic trip, Mason Regional Park is just down the street with a cute lake in the middle, and Newport Beach is fairly close as well.

There's shuttles that take you to Irvine Spectrum, The District, and Diamond Jamboree. Also, UCI is close to Fashion Island and the beach!

Every saturday, there is a free shuttle which will take students from UCI to the â??spectrumâ?? center close to the city. It is a beautiful place to go at night and is perfect for dates too! They have stores, restaurants, a movie theatre, an arcade, and so much more! Irvine is a place to eat amazing food, and if you can afford it I would highly recommend bringing a car for you and your friends. Boba culture is strong here and so is Korean BBQ. Other than that, the community will sometimes setup a park movie night where they show the movie on a massive projector. Irvine has tons of things to do for fun when you need a break from school.

Thursdays and Fridays get lit in housing communities with apartment parties. They dont last that long cause they are shut down. But fraternities host venue parties throughout the entire year so girls are welcome to attend those. The beach and seaside in Newport are very active throughout the year. Newport is popular among students above 21 for their clubs.

Irvine Lanes is pretty close, as well as the heart of Irvine with dance clubs, theaters, concerts, etc. As for on-campus stuff, there is Zot Zone with video games and billiards, the ARC with sports from badminton to ping pong to basketball to swimming, and many MANY on campus activities hosted by ASUCI.

There are beaches nearby which you can go with like a 10-15mins car drive. You can either Uber, use ZipCar or know friends who drive! There is Irvine Spectrum which is like a mall, and also Diamond Jamboree (tons of food) and The District (another mall-ish place). Those places have buses to take you there but when you come back, be prepare to pay $2 cash. And the buses to take you to DJ and the District are the D line which only exist on Friday nights. There is also The ARC that you can work out in. Those buses are call the Anteater Express, KNOW the different lines. OH and they are free to ride except for the lines that take you to the Spectrum, DJ and the District.
