The professors at UC Irvine really care about you. Although the lectures are quite large, professors always take plenty of their time for office hours and you can even schedule appointments with them if those hours don't fit your schedule. The class readings are relevant and although they are often long, you learn so much from each one!

The campus is absolutely beautiful with a fairly calming atmosphere. The people here are friendly and open, yet by no means does that imply that they don't have strong opinions and will fight back. Academics are fairly rigorous, but ultimately worthwhile with the quantity and quality fitted into a single quarter.

UCI is a quiet and a chill campus, but there are few parties that are exciting for relieving stress once in a while. You won't need to worry about getting lost because it is a round campus and if you just keep walking straight, you will reach to the point where you started. Also Irvine itself is a very safe neighborhood so many student are found to be jogging around a lot.

UCI is in the heart of Southern California. Beautiful beaches like Newport and Laguna are a short drive away, amazing food ranging from Vietnamese food in Westminster to Mexican food in Santa Ana. Great fit for anyone who wants to be challenged academically in the sciences, given a different perspective in psychology, or learn how to be an entrepreneur in the business school on campus.
