    as much as i loved uc irvine, i think it would have been better going to a school that had more fun activities going on! uc irvine is pretty dead on the weekends, and you will only really have fun if you know the right people or if you join greek life. it is a huge commuter school, so keep that in mind.

    Some of the professors are just okay, especially for large freshmen courses, but the faculty for higher-level engineering courses are fairly good. Tuition is pretty expensive though, and on campus housing costs even more than tuition, so have a financial plan in place to save up money for tuition. Not as expensive as private schools, but more so than Cal States. Still, the facilities here are nicer than those at Cal States I toured.
