I am currently a freshman and am about to finish my 1st semester here. I'm taking 4 class (16 units) and it's fairly difficult, but manageable. All of my professors are great. This university is pretty amazing aside from it being secluded. It has a beautiful lake in walking distance, although the town doesn't offer much entertainment. This school provides a good environment to study and get work done

Merced is a great school! It is small & convenient to get to classes in good timing. I'm too much of a city girl for this place though, so its not exactly for me but I love that I am able to get all of my classes & learn from the best professors.

UCM has a ton of opportunities if you pursue them. It's easy to get classes, financial aid, and research experience. Overall, a pretty laid back school where students don't have much to worry about other than their academics.

UC Merced is focused on the success of its students. The campus isn't too large, and isn't too small easier. Professors and advisers at UC Merced are extremely helpful and clearly put education as a top priority.

Small school in terms of building and space it occupies but there are many students. Many discussion classes have less than 20 people. The lectures can go by quick so a mastery of note-taking skills is needed.

UC Merced is totally different college experience compared to the other UC's. It may be a smaller campus, but the opportunities are abundant. Here you will feel part of a community and it can be your home away from home.
