Things can be pretty expensive at the school's book store but there are stores that around Riverside that can be accessible through bus.

There are plenty of work-study opportunities for those who need it. Renting textbooks saves money. The library will even let you photocopy pages of the textbooks. Tuition seems to be on the rise, but hopefully financial aid packages will help the people who need it the most. Off-campus housing might be more budget-friendly.

The great thing is that we can check out computers, calculators, and books here. I would not recommend doing this if you are forgetful like me in which case one would do better in actually buying the product you plan on checking out. The other day, I forgot my scientific calculator and decided to check one out. After I finished my final, I completely forgot I checked out the calculator and long story short, it was three hours late. I had a late fee waiting for me already. I have to pay sixteen dollars. With that money I could have bought myself a new one. On the other hand, checking out my own laptop for two hours is more convenient for me.

This school is definitely a financially helpful college. Tuition has been increasing, so it may be increasingly difficult for students to go to a 4 year university. If you had the chance/choice, take the time to work through your G.E classes at a community college, and transfer in. Regardless of where you go to, college is an investment, and regardless of what education you go for, I think college life will be more fulfilling if you go in with a goal in mind.

The school offers good financial aid packets to most of the students, so you should be covered each year while you are attending.
