Teachers can be great, but you must go to class to actually learn. I never thought I'd be skipping classes, but it happens and I learned the hard way that this is NOT smart. Discussions with TAs can be incredibly helpful as well. I had a math class where I learned more from the TA than I did from the Professor, so it definitely helps to go to both to become a successful student at UCSD.

UCSD is extremely STEM heavy and the predispositions that it is socially dead is due to the fact people are studying most the time. It's finding the time to party rather than creating the party in my opinion. UCSD is huge and has a lot of opportunities to expand so try to be involved.

UCSD is a very large campus with a lot of festivites to endure while you are there. Every corner you pass is another room to do something in and to explore. It is a mixed with technology and nature.

Great place that isnt too far from the beach. UCSD is like a setting from a fairy tale book; just go look at the sculptures they have that is a part of the art collection (singing trees and a red shoe in the forest). The environment is like any other college campus where everyone Is focused on their academics.

I'm impressed with the Cognitive Science department. Undergrad specialization is especially handy for those who only plan on getting a B.A/S.. Additionally, UCSD is one of the few schools that offers a B.S. in Cognitive Science. Definitely the place to be.

Campus is always buzzing, countless clubs and activities throughout the year to join, almost always found on Library Walk! Academically, it is challenging, but doable if one is willing to put in the effort, so try to adjust to college life fast! Overall a very calm vibe across campus, always feel safe, even walking home late at night, feel like I fit in.
