  • Jun-30-2015 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

The campus is just stunning, a classic California landscape. From my experience visiting, the students and staff were friendly enough. The atmosphere is very welcoming, but the academics and programs are obviously very rigorous.

One decision you won't regret. This college may seem like the typical beach town bum scene, but it offers so much more and involvement is the best thing you'll do here. The culture can be stigmatized often, but in solidarity only real students understand why we can't get enough here at UCSB.

There are a ton of extracurriculars available. School pride runs deep. Feels more like a large neighborhood than a school.

UCSB is a great school for anyone who wants to gain a challenging but extremely rewarding education while also enjoying an amazing location and thriving community. Not only is UCSB a top-notch research school, offering interested and dedicated students many research and research assistant opportunities, it is also located right on the beach and has a one-of-a-kind lagoon right in the middle of campus, providing students with beautiful views of the ocean and wildlife. In addition to providing an excellent education for students, the school and its neighboring community IV offer many educational or simply fun activities that students can enjoy.

UCSB is a beautiful school; the location is absolutely stunning. There a many great education opportunities for both undergrads and graduate students, and even though the school is pricey, the financial aid office will help as best they can. The atmosphere is so welcoming, you'll fall in love as soon as you drive through the gates.
