Very well regarded in regards to social sciences, physics, astronomy, engineering, as well as an overall research university. It has an amazing film and video production program which is ranked 7th in the nation. UCSC also has many resources for underprivileged, minority, and under-represented students.

UC Santa Cruz is an amazing college with beautiful landscape. Something I really enjoy about this school is that the professors are very friendly and open to working with students. As far as campus resources go, there are tons of different resources to support a student with any obstacles that they may encounter.

Can't compare to other universities, but the academic rigor is fair. Beautiful campus that feels like camping. Plenty of kind and welcoming peers.

The University of California-Santa Cruz is an amazing school, that has a lot to offer to their students. It is very accepting of many different types of backgrounds, culture, sexual preference and gender. The campus is beautiful, as it is half college, half woods, there are many beautiful trees around the school and in a very small city.

Its good if you're independent, and good if you love to cluster. Great if you like trees and walking, also great if you like buses and shuttles. It all depends on your lifestyle, and it will fit no matter what, here.
