    The best thing, in my opinion, when coming to college is to get involved! There are many organizations; there are academic, religious, greek, and even multicultural organizations waiting on students to join. This will open many doors for student because it will allow you to network, make life long friends, and become open minded. Another tip I would give to prospective students is to not take on so much their first semester. When I came to UCM, I dived right in and became involved in over three organizations, took 15 credit hours, and got two jobs. I would advice students to take it slowly and enjoy their first semester, while still becoming educated.
