What's not to do for fun?? UCO has events going on almost every day of every week! All you have to do is subscribe to the Campus Activities email alerts and you will find something to entertain you. There's ice skating, making lava lamps, getting your own pet goldfish, making Christmas decorations, a student involvement fair, ect.

There are so many events going on around campus that you simply cannot go to all of them- even if you have extra time on your hands. There are also several cultural events that really open your eyes to new things. The best part is they are free! Your student activity fees pay for it all. Another super cool thing that's free is our boathouse at lake Arcadia (10 min away). Students get to do free paddle boarding, canoeing, backpacking, and mountain biking! They also offer ropes courses and backpacking trips. The Wellness Center on campus has a rock wall that is also free to students. Off campus, there are several live concerts around town in Edmond. They will block off the main street for live bands and food trucks several times a month. Also, Bricktown and OKC are very close- and there are tons of things to do there.

The word fun is no stranger to this campus. There is almost always something going on whether it is paintball, riding camels, petting baby kangaroos or going to cheer on the football team. You definitely will not get bored!

The Wellness Center is free for students and it includes a rock climbing wall, fitness machines, all different types of playing courts, etc. It is free for students to go to Lake Arcadia. There you can rent kayaks, sups, and more, all for free! Almost all the restaurants in the area offer good student discounts. There are several city parks throughout the area that offer trails for biking, running, or walking, and tables for picnicking.

UCO is in Edmond, Oklahoma, which has been called the Number 1 Perfect Suburb in America. It's a suburb of Oklahoma City, which is only a 20 minute drive away. Restaurants are wonderful in Edmond! There are all of the classic chains such as Applebee's and Chili's, along with local gems such as Flatire Burgers. There are many shops, and the nearest mall is just 15 minutes from campus. There is a movie theater 5 minutes from campus, and UCO will sometimes do free movie nights. In the winter, there is ice skating, and UCO puts on a free skate night once a year. No car? No problem. The school has a programming board that puts on frequent free events. There is usually something going on every week! If you are feeling stir crazy, Oklahoma City's Bricktown District is the hottest entertainment site in the city, featuring, bowling, a movie theater, restaurants, and clubs. You will not run out of things to do!
