    UC has a pretty reasonable tuition compared to other state schools for in-state students. If you are from out of state, the cost is pretty high and may or may not be worth it depending on what you are studying. The Co-op program can help you pay for some of it since you'll be making money during those semesters, although only some majors, like engineering have it.
