The classes are very in depth. With the size of the classes, there isn't much one one one time with the professor, if any, so how much you learn depends completely on you. You can choose to stay on top of things on your own or you can utilize the vast amount of resources that UConn supplies for students to help with their studies. If you need extra help, then it isn't hard to contact the professor or a TA. If you choose not to pay attention and learn, then you won't and your grades will...

Uconn is a good school. It seems big at first but things are not as far away as they seem. Alot of clubs and things to try so dont be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

What I understood about UConn coming in was that it was very large, very isolated/rural, party-focused, and sports-obsessed. I've realized know that most students here adore UConn and are super friendly and excited to go to school here, it's easy to make friends in the hundreds of clubs and activities, people are pretty accepting of different lifestyles (IE- don't worry if you're not a big party person), and the academics are highly rigorous. I arrived here expecting to be miserable since I chose UConn based almost entirely on the low price due to scholarships, but now I can't imagine my life at any other university.

Coming to Uconn has been the best decision I have ever made, and can't imagine myself anywhere else, including the other schools where I initially applied. From the food, to the busy campus, to all the friends I have made, my short time at the University of Connecticut has already been the best time of my life. Uconn is truly a great place to be, with people that care about you and your journey through college.

The University of Connecticut has plentiful opportunities for networking and career advancement, however as the school is so large one must really put in effort in order to achieve them. The school is essentially a business that relies on it's athletics to make the most money for it, which can be a downer, however there are other activities on campus that are fulfilling although they are not in the limelight. The University of Connecticut is both beautiful and enriching and complex and frustrating, depending on how you spend your time there.

I have visited this school three times and love it more every time. It has all of the qualities of a school that I would want to attend. Even though the campus is big it is easily the nicest campus I've visited.
