The classes are very in depth. With the size of the classes, there isn't much one one one time with the professor, if any, so how much you learn depends completely on you. You can choose to stay on top of things on your own or you can utilize the vast amount of resources that UConn supplies for students to help with their studies. If you need extra help, then it isn't hard to contact the professor or a TA. If you choose not to pay attention and learn, then you won't and your grades will...

Coming to Uconn has been the best decision I have ever made, and can't imagine myself anywhere else, including the other schools where I initially applied. From the food, to the busy campus, to all the friends I have made, my short time at the University of Connecticut has already been the best time of my life. Uconn is truly a great place to be, with people that care about you and your journey through college.

The University of Connecticut has plentiful opportunities for networking and career advancement, however as the school is so large one must really put in effort in order to achieve them. The school is essentially a business that relies on it's athletics to make the most money for it, which can be a downer, however there are other activities on campus that are fulfilling although they are not in the limelight. The University of Connecticut is both beautiful and enriching and complex and frustrating, depending on how you spend your time there.

  • Dec-02-2014 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

I have visited this school three times and love it more every time. It has all of the qualities of a school that I would want to attend. Even though the campus is big it is easily the nicest campus I've visited.

UCONN is huge on school spirit and full of energy, especially during basketball season. It's an amazing experience to be a part of such a huge school and all come together in support for your school. UCONN also has so much to do so you'll never get bored.

UConn is a large school with a lot of options and possibilities for all their students. Although it is located in a rural area, almost everything a student may need is within walking distance either on campus or in the newly built Storrs Center. Not only is it an academically competitive school, but, don't forget, we are also the 2014 dual champions for college basketball!

UConn has an excellent academic program, the courses offered are pretty rigorous. The student life is pretty bad, there are not a lot of things to do on campus. Overall the school is great for education, but it is horrible for student life.

5 out of 10. The campus is big and it takes a long time to learn where everything is located. The classes are very difficult and take a lot of time to study for. However, a huge negative is the cost is still very high for a state college.
