There's no city life. The city revolves around the college. People here are friendly, but there are still a massive number of cliques like in highschool

The environment on campus is has a historic feel with the older brick buildings and ancient trees, but it comes at a cost. A few dorms have no AC or heat, and a lot of the classrooms are worn down. There isn't much to do other than go to bars or clubs or nature related activities off campus, but there are plenty of student activities and clubs to keep you busy. I found my niche in the Honors Program.

College is definitely fun and I'm enjoying my time here. The University of Florida has lots to offer for everyone. For example, if you enjoy arts and crafts there's a great arts and crafts area on the ground floor of the Reitz Union, if you enjoy playing sports there are 2 gyms that offer intramural sport teams you can join. Football is very popular on campus, I recommend going to a football game at least once. You can feel the school spirit within the field and it's awesome just rooting for the same team with your fellow gators. Also, other than football - other sporting events are free for UF students!

There are plenty of clubs and groups to join as long with a lot of things to down in downtown and midtown. There are a lot of places to eat and hangout. The classes may be a little difficult but many of the professors are sarcastic and funny, along with extrememly understanding about personal issues.
