In UHH there's usually some sort of event going on: light parties, raves, clubs are going off campus to do things together and not to mention that because you're in Hilo you're pretty close to a few beaches.

The school drives students to the beach and to waterfalls. They do other crazy activities too. There are ping pong and pool tables all over campus and the Student Activities Counsel are always hosting awesome activities.

There is a student life center, they have a pool, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a gym that have fitness classes and punching bags. The student life center also takes students out on trips around this beautiful island. They take students to the many different beaches and even to the volcano (which is safe because the volcano is not active).

Outdoor Edventure is an outstanding program where they take you for free to various places around the island with other college students. Kayaking, Volcano National Park, Green Sand Beaches, Snorkeling, Hiking, Maunu Kea, and if you get to know some locals (which you will), the entire island opens up to you.

There is always something going on on the campus. Whether it's a Board of Media Broadcasting sponsored event, a play or musical put on by the performing arts department, or just a simple fund raiser put on by one of the many clubs, you can always find something fun to do.
