In-state tuition is very affordable, with loads of scholarship money offered by the university. Apparently out-of-state tuition is also reasonable, as many of my friends live elsewhere.

Although college can be expensive, the University of Kansas is more than generous with their scholarships and ensures that you are getting the quality education that you are paying for.

If you can afford it, it is a great school. Don't count too much on scholarships. Plan on paying the whole thing with loans and you will have a more accurate representation of what it is actually going to cost you. While it is a great school, out of state tuition is killer.

**TRANSFERS DO NOT RECEIVE ANY SCHOLARSHIP** Despite my 4.0 and 33 on my ACT, KU refused me any scholarship because I had 30 hours or more of collegiate credit. 12 of those hours were AP credit, and without the credit I received from high school I would have been at 24 credit hours and still eligible for some thousands in merit scholarship. As it stands, my tuition yearly stands around 24k for in-state.

I'm paying out of state tuition which is ridiculous, but I was accepted, so that is a big factor in my being here. In state is not too bad compared to in state tuition on the east or west coast depending on what school you look at, or what major you are planning on pursuing for your studies.
