Get a bike! Yes, everything is within walking distance, but if you're running late, it becomes very useful.

GET INVOLVED! Campus involvement is so important for anyone's college experience. Especially at UL involvement in any organization is a great way to connect and grow with others as well as improve your social life. Incoming freshman, live on campus. The experience is like no other and you WILL get to know at least one person in your hall/dorm. The more you put yourself out there the more UL will become your home, and there truly is no place like home.

My tips from anyone going to any college would be to never miss out on any fun activities/experiences. You don't have to go to parties or get into trouble. UL has many different activities and organizations that you can be a part of and have a lot of fun. Also, I believe it is better to wake up the next morning being able to remember all of the fun you had and all of the people you've met. Another tip would be to not limit yourself or hold back. Let go and face any fears you may have. You're in a new environment and any mistakes you've made in the past can be erased. That's right! you can start over and bee anyone you want to be, but remember to also stay true to yourself. And last but certainly not least, GO TO CLASS! I promise you if you go to class you WILL pass. Teachers tend to help you the most when they see you in class and see you paying attention.
