    Bang for the buck

The best deal if you are a Minnesota resident. Manitoba and Minnesota have reciprocity so you are given the same tuition price as someone born and raised in Canada, which is usually around $5,000. Yes, you did read that right.

    What to do for fun

There is always something to do on or around campus. Whether it's a residence party or a club run movie night in University Centre.

    Food and Dining

There are many different places to eat on campus. In the University Centre there is a food court with a wide range of options as well as a campus bar and dinner on the higher floors.

    Dorm Life

No matter what dorm you live in on campus you can expect to be entered into a welcoming community. There really isn't a wrong choice of dorm building.

    Academic Rigor

The courses here are as challenging as you would expect for a university. As long as you put in the work necessary you should have any trouble getting a satisfactory mark. There is also a wide range of different classes from basics like Introductory Statistics to more entertaining classes that tie together popular culture to the supernatural.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are planning on going to the University of Manitoba as an international student, make sure to get your student visa together as soon as you can. It can be a bit of a hassle but well worth it in the long run.

    In three sentences

The University of Manitoba is a great college for Canadian born students as well as international students. It is internationally accredited in many fields, so you will get the most out of your degree. The school is also very diverse with a great student community.

It seems like a nice school from what I have read, but it seems a bit hard to get there. Overall I am wondering if the graduate program that it has is any good. It also seems to be really encouraging to international students.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are coming for an education and this university is a logical choice with regards to living circumstance, the U of M is as good as any other university.

    In three sentences

University of Manitoba is good, but not great. However, the spirit in the Faculty of Engineering is unbeatable, and there are great professors here. The rest of the university is alright, but a little too saturated with socialist ideals for my taste.

One of the things I like most is the campus garden because you get to grow your own food and meet new people as well. Another good program is the disability services. You help take notes for people who have difficulty and its a great feeling because you're helping someone out with their education!

    Academic Rigor

Classes tend to be pretty big for most classes however it is up to you to learn go and learn the stuff. Also its good to go see your prof during office hours as well.

    Tips for prospective students

Its good if you know what you want to get into as it makes it easier to select courses. Also be prepared for finals as they tend to be a lot tougher than what is taught in class.

This university is great for someone who wants a good challenge as it is competitive. There are a lot of involvement around the campus so it is easy to meet new people! Finally the science lab program is pretty great as it teaches you to be independent and how to write proper formal lab reports.
