I would suggest looking into what it is you exactly want to do. The staff here are very friendly and helpful with getting you on the right track. I am currently a senior here and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. There are many opportunities offered here and they will help you with your future career. The Education department is the best! I would advise you prospective students to come to one of the Preview Weekends! You get to stay in a dorm with a current freshman so you really get to experience the things that you would experience in your first semester at UMHB. I would also encourage you to try to visit during a game weekend for football or other sports so you can experience the school spirit. Ask your admissions counselors lots of questions! They will answer anything and everything to make sure that you are able to make the best decision possible.

Take the Saturday chapel. Yes it is six hours long and costs a little extra, but you only have to make it twice which opens up more time for other things. If you desire more you can still go during the week and they offer activities all the time. If you aren't interested in chapel you only have to go twice and they allow and nearly encourage you to bring homework.
