UMD is your stereotypical college and you'll learn to love it. Academics and social life are both great when you learn to balance them. Most of the professors are pretty awesome and you can tell they love their job.

It is a large campus although it is very easy to learn your way around. There are many places o eat on and off campus that are in walk-able distance so you are not always ordering out and paying the delivery fee. It may feel tough to create friends here, but I an guarantee you will make friends without even knowing it!

Specifically, university run programs such as Academic Achievement Program are a great resource for students who are first generation college students in lower income families. UMD does an amazing job in helping ensure their students have a better chance of success.

  • I am researching this school and have not visited the campus

I have been getting mixed reviews of this school. I've looked this school up many times, and there are reviews stating that the student service is not up to par as it should be. However, some friends of mine that attend the school say otherwise. Anyone want to give me a proper review of this school? I would like an unbiased and honest review please. Thank you in advance!
