For fun, I would go to the library and check out books to read, but that's just me. There are a lot of things that you can do for fun. Do what you think might be fun, just make sure it's not illegal and dangerous.

What to do for fun, you can choose many things you would do, for example fir what I do for fun is I like to go t my study group at coffeman on the second floor and do homework as a group and help each other out. I also like to go to club events like the Asian American club , and the Korea club. We usually get to eat free food and hear a guest speaker, and we also get to fund raise activities for events we put on. Something fun to do here as well is get involve with sports, play a little volleyball here and there to keep myself in shape and to enjoy a little fun from class and homework. You don;t have to play sports, but you can also go watch the games at the U of M, such as the football team and the basketball team, volleyball team , and etc.

In the beginning, people stick to their dorm mates and meet different people that way. Try to join club's during Welcome Week and meet more people that way. It is hard to suggest what can be alot of fun because there is so many things to do especially in campus, but just keep a positive light on things and be careful to what your surroundings are at the time.

There are always events going on and providing free food. Who doesn't like free food? Nobody, everybody likes free food. There are also free movie nights on Tuesday's and Friday's on both Minneapolis and St.Paul Campus. Events will always be on the UMN site.

The stadium for Gopher Football is right near Dinky Town, and with many downtown Minneapolis businesses nearby, there is a lot of off campus activity nearby. There are also more extra-curricular activities than any one person could ever dream of! The big-10 sports teams have a vigorous schedule in the fall and winter and spring.

As a U of M student, we have free access to the Rec Center. There's also a bowling alley in Coffman. There's also tons of restaurants in Dinkytown and by Coffman to explore.

Personally, I'm a runner, so I will probably join a club to run or find a group of friends to do so. There also seems to be an unimaginable number of clubs at the U, so it shouldn't be a problem to find something that interests you. The city and the Mall of America is also extremely close, so you can also find something fun there to do as well.
