If you are willing to spend the time, the professors are more than willing to help you out. Some of the classes are hard and require after class work, but in the end it's all worth it. They don't restrict you on what you can / can't take. It's up to you. They have great tools that allow you to plan out your entire four or five year schedule and it shows you just want you need to take to receive your degree.

The U has a great campus with a lot of opportunities; it has easy access to its local metropolitan area. The academics seem strong as well, and they have a great reputation for engineering, especially chemical. The school also has easy access to nature trails, which makes it easy to stay in shape and have fun.

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities would have to receive a ten out of ten for academics, a ten out of ten for athletics, a ten out of ten for residential life, and a ten out of ten for location (Minnesota is the BEST state)! All in all, the U of Mn is a top notch school. Ten out of ten worthy in all areas.

The institute is huge with over 30 thousand undergraduates that shares the same interest as you with the different colleges within the university. The U has very good resident tuition. They also provide a lot of resources for students in all circumstances (Minority, disabilities, etc.).
