If you are willing to spend the time, the professors are more than willing to help you out. Some of the classes are hard and require after class work, but in the end it's all worth it. They don't restrict you on what you can / can't take. It's up to you. They have great tools that allow you to plan out your entire four or five year schedule and it shows you just want you need to take to receive your degree.

The University of Minnesota is a large university, full of diversity. It's a great way to meet diversity people here and interact with, the people here are really open minded and don't be afraid that you won't fit in because everyone loves when you try to join in and communicate. But wait there is more to here at the U of M, there are lots of resources places you can attend to ask for help. Which will be more uncomfortable but it's a really great opportunity for yourself to get out your comfort zone and explore your true self. The professor here are really joyful to get to know their students, and excited to know what you plan to major in. I loved how the professor here gives out their office hours to help students with lecture they need help and that there is always a TA that will provide help no matter if the professor can't. At the U of M here is a really great university to settle in and explore your majors, full of many options to look at even if you're undecided.

Twin Cities is a huge school with many people on it. Because of that, there are tons of different people to meet with crazy and interesting moments to spend with each of them. Although there are a surplus of individuals inhabiting in or around the campus, there really isn't a reason to feel left out.

The University of Minnesota is a very competitive, very diversity-enriched, and very inclusive college. It offers one of the best engineering programs in Minnesota. It also prepares you for the real-world with many practical majors involved in the arts and sciences.
