    The biggest mistake I see freshmen and their parents make is buying the unlimited meal plan. Unless you have to or you're positive you're going to eat 2000 meals on campus in 4 months, opt for a smaller one. If you save Flex (basically cash they automatically sap from your tuition), you won't even need a meal plan as an upperclassman. Also, check the locations of your classes. You don't want to have to test the "I can walk across campus in 15 minutes theory" because I have, and you can't.
