Mizzou is a huge learning experience in every aspect. I've learned not only about my subjects but about good study habits, organizational habits and myself. The teachers are generally understanding but tough and if you take the time to talk to them and work with them they will do everything in their power to help you succeed.

The University offers a beautiful campus with large facilities. Food on campus is good but not great. A lot of academic resources.

I am a Doctoral student at the University of Missouri. I`ve made the mistake of accepting their offer for doctoral studies which I take full responsibility for accepting. I am from the East Coast and whoever says that the Midwest is another country it is very much the case. The atmosphere at the university is very uninviting for differences in opinion and by that I mean that you can be beaten up by students, insulted by professors, or both if you have different opinions. There is no place for creative thinking or forward thinking either. if you are looking for a vacation and don't want to study this is the best university that can provide you with that and also pays your tuition if you ask them to do so. I have excellent records from Ivy university and accepted the offer for doctoral studies because they offered me very generous package of financial aid and tuition remission. Otherwise, i would not have accepted the offer.

Mizzou is the perfect school for self growth because of the abundance of opportunities provided by the university. I love the family atmosphere Mizzou has created, it obvious once a tiger always a tiger, as seen by how cherished the alum are. Lastly Mizzou is full of all kinds of people, I feel Mizzou does a very great job of inclusivity, as shown by our multiple social justice centers.

I really enjoyed my first year at Mizzou. But because of the size of the campus there is so much walking. Always something to do and the classes are interesting.
