I am currently a sophomore at the University of Montevallo and am definitely learning a lot in my classes. Due to the small teacher to student ratio, all of the teachers will at least recognize you as one of their students, if not know you by name and major. They realize that all students learn in different ways and will help you try to understand, or direct you to someone that may help you more.

I fell in love with this school when I came for a campus tour, and made it my first choice. I've never regretted it! Not only does UM have a small, close-knit community, but it's a place where you can truly be yourself, and feel comfortable and accepted.

UM is a great school! I recommend it to anyone who's looking to receive an excellent yet affordable liberal arts education. However, UM isn't just for art and theater students; it offers degrees in everything from business to biology.

Montevallo has small class sizes, you aren't just a number in a crowd, student to teacher ratio is 20 to 1. Being a liberal arts school, Montevallo allows you to be yourself, and helps you to find you home while there. I come from a small town, Montevallo gives me that same small town atmosphere and helps me to feel more at home.

This is a very small campus, with not much to do on the weekends. A lot of people call it a suitcase school because of the percentage of people leaving on the weekends. Everyone is really welcoming and kind, and the class sizes are extremely small.

The University of Montevallo offers a diverse atmosphere that gives its students a well-rounded education in liberal arts. The student body is small (around 2,000) and diverse in religion, ethnicity, and background. Professors are well-educated in their fields and are willing to give their students individual attention and help in their courses.
