There are hundreds of things to do in Reno. From Art town in the summer, and hot August Nights in August, to even the Rib Cook-Off finals hosted by the Nugget every year. Reno is one of the most culturally diverse places in the country and it has loads of things to do. Vegas may be glitz and glamour but Reno has an amazing calendar of events and activities throughout the year.

There are a few video game clubs on campus, so I usually go to those. I know people who've also gone snowboarding, so that's also an option.

There are tons of community service event to participate in. Sometimes there are festivals downtown, only a 10 minute walk, which are a sight to see. There are concerts on campus and movies held every week at the student union. Lastly, the lounges in the residence halls sometimes are fun too.

Nevada is a place for doing things! Downtown Reno is only 3 miles from campus with the Truckee River running right through. There is rafting and floats to rent, along with a nice park to have a picnic in and spend time with friends. During the winter, Mt. Rose ski resort is your destination to be, along with sledding, and snowshoeing. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to visit, with boating, swimming, and sun-bathing, in the warm months. There are many shops and activities to engage in, as well.
