Nightlife is huge in Reno. Nothing closes, so go out, stay out, and enjoy! We also have a lot of great outdoor space for hiking, running, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, etc. Only 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe.

Most people party on the weekends. Those with cars or are friends with people who have cars go skiing in winter. San Raphael Park is a 10 minute walk away and they have trails to walk/hike. There's a club fair once a semester.

There are many fun, community, party, or festival events held on campus and in Lawlor Event Center which is connected to the university. There are a great many clubs available for students to join and many students spend their time on the quad, where frisbees are thrown freely and you may romp around as you please with your friends.

I go to the gym, socialize with friends, go to school sponsored activities and concerts, and if all else fails I will hang out with the people on my floor such as my roommate, and or neighbors

On campus, it depends on the semester. Fall semester has so many clubs and Greek organizations trying to have you join. They hold events with free food and are most times very interesting. Football games here are extremely high spirited and I highly suggest you go at least once. Also, the Music Department holds different free or extremely cheap music and dance performances which are top-notch. If youâ??re looking for something off campus, many go to the Wolf Den, The Corkscrew, or other establishments around the Reno area. Reno is very interesting due to the casinos and other legal endeavors. As long as youâ??re of age, youâ??ll find something. Although, the best dessert shop in town is Millieâ??s 24 and serves the best gelato. In my opinion, the most fun Iâ??ve had is through organizations and clubs that not only zip up my resume, but help to fill in my free nights.

Many clubs and organizations exist on campus. I personally recommend the swing dance club. There is also Greek life, and things happening downtown. The Knitting Factory and the Grand Sierra Resort have awesome concerts sometimes.

The options are endless Reno! Most common are skiing, river rafting, the three major annual festivals, and any nerdy or strange activity you can think of!

The University is great at having activities to do for the students. From movie nights to live performances, I don't think there is a dull week here. Even if its blizzarding out and below freezing, upperclassmen will have their hot chocolate movie nights for those of us missing a cold day at home. If you want to venture out past the campus grounds, your closest destination would be the mountains, and either sledding, or participating in a snow sport. Lake Tahoe, which is about an hour drive from Reno is definitely a sight to see if you attend this university.
