There are tons of community service event to participate in. Sometimes there are festivals downtown, only a 10 minute walk, which are a sight to see. There are concerts on campus and movies held every week at the student union. Lastly, the lounges in the residence halls sometimes are fun too.

Nevada is a place for doing things! Downtown Reno is only 3 miles from campus with the Truckee River running right through. There is rafting and floats to rent, along with a nice park to have a picnic in and spend time with friends. During the winter, Mt. Rose ski resort is your destination to be, along with sledding, and snowshoeing. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to visit, with boating, swimming, and sun-bathing, in the warm months. There are many shops and activities to engage in, as well.

Nightlife is huge in Reno. Nothing closes, so go out, stay out, and enjoy! We also have a lot of great outdoor space for hiking, running, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, etc. Only 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe.

Most people party on the weekends. Those with cars or are friends with people who have cars go skiing in winter. San Raphael Park is a 10 minute walk away and they have trails to walk/hike. There's a club fair once a semester.

There are many fun, community, party, or festival events held on campus and in Lawlor Event Center which is connected to the university. There are a great many clubs available for students to join and many students spend their time on the quad, where frisbees are thrown freely and you may romp around as you please with your friends.
