Really, really, healthy/organic focus on campus. Not really my thing. But then again I guess that's why I haven't gained the freshman fifteen...

I don't eat on campus much anymore, but what I remember is that it was very over priced and there isn't much variety. Any student living on campus and wanting something for the same prices can get better variety from the surrounding Asheville city.

The cafeteria has recently been updated this past semester. However, most students have complained that it's still not very good. You won't get 5-star meals and most of their ingredients are not organic or nutritional.

I have visited several other college dining halls (not on tours, when the food is 10x better than any other day) and UNCA has the best food by far! Everything is super healthy and delicious.

The dining hall has excellent and diverse options every day, including daily vegetarian and vegan options. There are also multiple other satellite restaurants and cafes around campus. There are no fast-food chain options, and every place to get food has high-quality options.

UNC Asheville's lifestyle dining hall ranges from Western cuisine to Eastern. There are always vegetarian and vegan options for those who prefer, as well as a pizza/pasta bar, salad bar, and sandwich bar. On-campus restaurants are also reasonable options, where students have the choice between using declining balance, cash, or meal equivalencies.

The food on campus is either really good or really bad. The cafeteria closes kind of early and the only thing open until a late hour is a sandwich shop. We only have about 4 places to eat on campus. The unlimited meal plan isn't unlimited. You're restricted to meal zones which can be a bit lengthy at times.

Coming from a small town/state like i do at first it seemed like there were many different options. There's the caf, the down under ( with the best hours, a sort of sandwich shop), argo tea (funky hours, located in the library), Rosettas (a vegan/vegetarian place near the athletic buildings), and highsmith union has a dining area as well, though currently under renovation.

There are two sororities and two fraternities at UNC Asheville. Both participate in service to the campus and community, while creating a stronger bond of brotherhood and sisterhood with fellow bulldogs and other campuses.

Greek life is very small, we only have two sororities and two fraternities. That said, they are there and do hold events on campus, but they aren't super exclusive, and they are really friendly and enjoy being in the greek system.
