Food and dining is okay. There are a few variety of food choices and desserts. There are other shops on campus including Starbucks, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Papa John's Pizza, and more.

There is great food around campus and two different coffee shops. However, the food services can sometimes be troublesome when it comes to time efficiency. The coffee shops can sometimes mess up drinks as well. However, they fix them properly if you tell them what they did wrong and without charge.

Everybody who lives in a dorm is required to have a meal plan. As a student who makes ample use of this amenity, I figure that my input is credible. The availability of the cafeteria is great and as for food, it has made a turn to become a more healthy choice for the students. There are a number of other restaurants for those who don't want to eat at the cafeteria everyday such a papa john's in the Health building by the soccer field, simply to-go and WoW cafe inside the Chavis center, starbucks in D.F. lowry and KFC, Burger King, McDonalds, and Bojangles across the street from campus. There is also a Food Lion within walking distance and a Walmart, Taco Bell, San jose and Subway farther down the street. There are many other places to eat along the main road, but i only mentioned the ones that I frequent. All of the dining on campus are through the school, so you have the option to pay for the meal via bravebucks (which is an additive to the meal plan). My advice here: Know what you want to spend. You either spend a lot of money throughout the year to eat fast food, spend a lot of money buying groceries to cook, or spend a lot of money to the school and eat free throughout the year. I can almost guarantee that none are worth it, but you--like I do-- have to eat. HOWEVER, I would be remiss if i don't mention that COMPARATIVELY the prices here are VERY agreeable.

When I first came to Pembroke in 2011, the cafeteria food was tolerable. Now (2014), the cafeteria food is MUCH better! They've made some serious overhauls and it's actually delicious. There are also other options for food nearby in the same building, but be prepared to pay a little more for the convenience.

There are not that many food options on the UNCP campus. There is the main cafeteria, Bert's cafe, Papa Johns, and Starbucks. The food is okay, but could be better.

The food and dining here are pretty good. The Campus dining hall offers a plethora of foods and if the dining hall is not for you then other dining places are offered on and around campus.

There are many new and old sororities at Pembroke. There are less fraternities but what they lack in size, they make up in style. They have strict policies on safety and getting in but that makes it more interesting.

Greeks are very involved throughout campus. Each fraternity and sorority has an issue that they all focus on, such as breast cancer awareness, helping the homeless, helping St. Jude's hospital, environmental clean up, and community revival (building and rebuilding in the surrounding area).
